Our Inspiration & Origin

Cyriac Elias Voluntary Association (CEVA) owes its name as well as vision to Blessed Cyriac Elias Chavara a champion social reformer of Kerala and the co-founder of CMI congregation. Inorder to coordinate the development activities of the CMI Congregation, CEVA was formed on 6th December 1986 with its head office at Kochi. CEVA was formally registered as a Voluntary Organization under Societies registration act on January 27, 1987

Partnership with KKS

The origin and growth of CEVA is also linked with its relationship with Karl Kübel Stiftung for Child and Family (Karl Kübel Stiftung For Kind Und Familie) –KKS. A formal agreement of partnership was signed between KKS and CEVA on 21st January1987.

Establishment of Regional Offices

CEVA started its Northern Regional Office (NRO). In January 1990 at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. CEVA has opened its second branch office the Eastern Regional Office (ERO) in April 2000 at Kolkata, to cater to the needs of its project partner in the east and northeastern regions
